				<title>2000 pts Imperial Guard gun line</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I recently traded my old chaos army for some imperial guard and bought some models as well. Here is what I have so far and I'm wondering how well this will work out. Looking for any ideas for swap outs, weapon upgrade recommends and such? I want to keep it as troop heavy as possible.<br /> <br /> *********************<br /> <br /> 1990 points<br /> <br /> Company Command Squad<br /> -Creed, Kell <br /> -Master of Ordnance<br /> -Medpack<br /> <br /> Platoon<br /> -Platoon Command Squad (medipack, vox)<br /> -Infantry Squad x5 (melta gun and vox per squad)<br /> -Heavy Weapons Squad x5 (15 lascannons)<br /> <br /> Platoon<br /> -Platoon Command Squad (medipack, vox)<br /> -Infantry Squad x2 (vox per sqaud)<br /> <br /> Sentinel x3 Squad (can't decide between multi-laser or heavy flamer, intending to outflank from reserves)<br /> <br /> Leman Russ Battle Tank x3 not in squad (3x lascannon upgrade)<br /> <br /> *********************<br /> <br /> are plasma guns useful? should i change infantry squads for special weapon squads?<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ First: I like this horde of infantry you got there, if you're going to paint all that I wish you the best of luck.  <img src="/s/i/a/5d13fa41280d6fdef786d41bc175d3f6.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br /> Plasma guns are nice, their field of work is killing <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(652);'>TEQs</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MCs</span> and secondary light armour. However, with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> and the usual 5+ armour save, keep in mind that they're expensive and probably will kill some of your own men. I'd field no dedicated squad for them, but maybe issue one or two of the things where they could be needed.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I don't like using Creed/Kell AND vox-casters personally.  You can free up about 45 points if you consider going without them which helps counteract the cost of Kell.  The odds of rolling a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>ld</span> 9 or higher (from the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span>) is 10/36, which is just under 30%.  The odds for Creed/Kell at <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>ld</span> 10 is 3/36, which is already less than 10%.  If you're planning on blobing up your squads, then you won't be relying on as many orders.  I generally depend on Creed for my 'essential' orders, and then if there is anything that would be nice to do, but not an absolute necessity, I use the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span>.  Typically, I just treat them like a special weapons squad and outfit them with flamers or melta and have them clear stuff out of cover anyway, so usually they're just running themselves or using incoming! when necessary.  All of my really cool stuff is done by Creed.  Also, another <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> might be nice, though if you're going to do that, then you might want to keep the vox-casters after all, because he wouldn't be quite as awesome as Kell is.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ so far i have about 90% of the troops glued together and 4 of them painted  <img src="/s/i/a/6d3c0a908a3861135dfaebde91c0ecf6.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br /> I think i'll vote the plasma out and keep it all melta, though now i'm thinking drop melta's and get another troop squad or 2. I can't image an army that can stand up to that many shots + support fire from russ's and heavy teams.<br /> <br /> @ daedalus<br /> <br /> How useful are orders in the game now, I havn't played my first game or done the math yet? I could convert 1 squad to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span> and then i'll have 4 officers giving orders to 6 squads.]]></description>
