I figured I'd paint me 5 normal Space Marines as Sternguard Veterans and add on some nice little details to indicate veterancy... but at any rate.

I'm a noob to the tabletop, but thumbing through the codex; when it comes to arming my 5 marines... Should I try squeeze in as many bolters as possible?

I am asking that considering their special ammo abilities... It seems as though using anything else is a waste; they seem to be an anti-personnel squad, I figured maybe 4 bolters and 1 missile launcher (Yes, arm the sergeant with a bolter ).

Any thoughts?
