Re:Gazghul Thraka

Your opponent did not cheat, Ghazgkull really has a 2+ invulnerable save during the turn he waaaghs and the following player turn. And yes, for that time, he is near unstoppable! Interestingly, a Grey Knight with a Psycannon would be the best thing to kill him, because it ignores invuln saves and Ghazgkull has no normal saves for those turns. Apart from that...well, yeah, he's on a rampage.

The 2+ is only invul for the turn he declares the waaagh, and the next player turn I believe (as in, he declares it on his, it's invul until the end of your turn). Then it's just his normal 2+ armor save.

I'd recommend firing a huge amount of firepower at him. Then again, I believe in the three tenets of war. Firepower, more firepower, and yet more firepower.

When he launches Waagh, just try to ignore him for a turn..cause 2+ inv and 4 wounds means he won't die easily, but when his 2++ ends, just shoot him with plasma, lascannons etc.
Just don't try to out-melee him. Only C'Tan is apable of takinh his rage, anything else from Carnifex to Terminators will be chomped good

But a veteran ork player will make sure he activates his waaagh before he gets into combat.
So well, it boils down to your positioning and execution. Just make sure you are the one charging him when he gets near (though that can be very tough, since he will be 18 inches away almost everytime on the turn before he charges).

Throwing templates? Unless you spam all your templates on one spot but that is such a waste unless they are strong enough to kill everything outright. Everyone is saying take this uber weapon, waste AT on him. He will be in a meat shield unit so targeting him will be next to impossible. If you are playing a foot eldar army good luck, but if you are playing mech just duck and weave with your transports till his 2+ s done. When, that is finished just blade storm his unit off the table then let him let him have it. If you use two Avenger units or one Avenger unit with supporting fire from three war walker spam will take care of him quickly then.

But to make a long story, short. Evade and fire once the 2+ is done. Just ignore him.
