They have 3 wounds, SO you only need 3 on a base. Try to get some pics with a more ambient/diffused light source. Even a mediocre mini can be made to look much much better with a nice base. Mix up a little PVA and water, paint it onto the bases with an old brush, throw some sand on them.

I've just bought some grass and stones for their bases, I will probably stick on stones and paint them grey, then scatter grass over.
