Actually 5 unless we are talking about an IC. My bet is on the LRR though, seeing as at best, the TWC will be hitting on 4+ and just as likely 6+ (PotMS allows you to fire one cannon after moving over 6"). Then you need a 5+ to pen and another 5+ to destroy. IG and have been taking in batreps...

SWs strongest build is TWC, and as SM, plasma guns are an excellent way to kill them off.

You can't cut all of your meltas, but the nastiest TWC lists I've seen are completely foot, and totally melta immune.

Plasma wounds just as well as melta against T5, and you've got the long range shot plus twice as many short range shots.
