Both handy guides but the basics are like, using washes to get decent shading, drybrushing weapons metal after a black undercoat gives a decent looking metal effect.

I seem to remember an article or thread where he very quickly churned out minis just by using washes over the top of a single coat. Undercoat white (Yes white on orks ) then apply your colour followed by a wash to shade and darken

Just got to find your own style really

For Ork skin, I try to use as many different shades of green I can (except scorpion green for obvious reasons) , and then give them a thraka green wash.
