Yet another Tank Shock question...

I have declared a 15" tank shock move into a unit of marines. They fail their morale test and fall back, and I move my Wave Serpent up 15"... but at the 14" point I make contact with a Dreadnought. Is this then resolved as a S7 ram or does my movement simply end at that point?

When I played this situation yesterday, we resolved to simply end the movement, as we didn't have a great deal of time to pull apart the rules. Can anyone shed any light on this subject?

Ends movement. You have to declare ramming as ramming.

Now if you declared a 15" ram on the dread, you could have had your cake and ate it too.

Yep if not declared as a ram, you must stop moving 1" away from any vehicles.

Yet another Tank Shock question...

You resolved it correct.

It should be noted that if you would have declared a ram on the Dreadnought in the first place, any enemy units in the vehicles path would be automatically tank-shocked.

Yet another Tank Shock question...

Yeah... I was actually teaching a kid how to play (he's had half a dozen games with AOBR marines so only knew their relevant rules), and thought I'd chuck a Wave Serpent into a troop squad on an objective to demonstrate how Tank Shock worked. I'd already showed him how to work out a ram in the previous turn.

Funnily enough it turned into a situation I wasn't sure about.
