Miniature Case

Howdy folks. Well, I think I've accumulated and painted enough figures that I need a carrying case now to transport them all safely in. I've been looking on the 'net for a case and am shying away from the GW cases as almost every GW case I've seen has missing or replaced latches (design flaw?).
Any advice on an affordable figure transportation system? I was looking at the Reaper case but can't seem to find out if my figs will fit.

Thanks!

I really recommend the GW hard case... for $99, you won't get a better buy. What army do you play? As a marine player, I can fit this into my GW case -

50 tac marines
10 assault marines
5 terminators
2 dreadnoughts
1 land raider
2 land speeders
2 predators
2 rhinos
1 vindicator
1 razorback

I'd need at least a $150 soft case to hold all that... and the GW case is a hard case, which I trust more. The only thing is you need to plan where things will go before you cut the foam it comes with up... don't mess it up, or you'll end up loosing alot of space.

I've had mine going on 2 years, and I've never had any damage done to my models by it.

I guess it would be helpful to state what army I play. I play Tau. I think that $99 case is a little more expensive these days but I'll look into it.

Any other recommendations?

Miniature Case

Ive used both GW hard cases and Sabol transports (the motor-pool).

For bog standard infantry, I've had zero problems with the GW case. I've had four of them other 10 years, and one had a latch break, which I say is good odds. The problem comes in when one wants to transport tanks. That's what I've got the Motor Pool for, and that works brilliantly for it's warstore price.

Given my druthers at this point, I think I might save up for either the Sabol Division, or maybe the battlefoam one. I'm still pissed that I didn't win the battlefoam naming contest (I called it the Battlefoam P.A.C. with no numbers) and so that leaves a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to those guys.

And I know it hurts not to buy models, but a good case saves your models from breaking. Too many times I've seen people just toss stuff in plastic tupperware with some cloth around it. And they wonder why their stuff is full of chips and is broken bringing it to the table. A good case is a good investment in the hobby. One that will likely outlast the army it was purchased for as you sell off armies to get new ones and/or shelve armies to play newly aquired ones.

I find cases are defiantly worth it.
I have used the same one for 4 armies ; planning it well in the beginning goes along way, and ive had next to no model breakages, deal if you ask me
