So, I was thinking about getting some necrons, because they just look freakin awesome. I looked at the package and saw the green gun thingy (dunno it's name =@) and I was wondering, would I also be able to paint that green thingy red or blue?

More could probably be found with a more thorough search.

Or, if you don't feel like playing chemist, you can buy translucent acrylic tubes in the appropriate size for the weapons and cut to fit the length. That may be a better route to go.
