				<title>My thoughts on Typhus.</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ As a Nurgle chaos player, I find myself drawn to Typhus.<br /> <br /> -If his <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>CCW</span> wounds a unit, he can make a psychic test to kill them later, even if he has already used another psychic power already. <img src="/s/i/a/ef7b97610a8bf5b2bd5df8209dc08ff3.gif" border="0"><br /> -Mark of Nurgle <img src="/s/i/a/ef7b97610a8bf5b2bd5df8209dc08ff3.gif" border="0"><br /> He automatically makes his psyhic checks for these powers:<br />  -Wind of Chaos<br />  -Nurgle's Rot<br /> -He has Feel No Pain and Fearless<br /> -Termie armor<br />  <img src="/s/i/a/ef7b97610a8bf5b2bd5df8209dc08ff3.gif" border="0"><br /> (The only thing I'm not clear on is his Destroyer Hive, can someone tell me how that works?)<br /> <br /> What do you guys think?<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Pretty much.<br /> He should get eternal warrior, but oh well.<br /> <br /> We don't need to be told what he can do, nor what powers he has.<br /> We who have the Chaos codex can flip to the page and see for ourselves... ...<br /> <br /> So...<br /> Problems with Typhus:<br /> -1: fist equivalents.<br /> -2: Delivery: none of the options are that great.<br /> -3: His best posse is something fearless, which means terminators are pretty iffy.<br /> -4: He's still pretty expensive for what you get.<br /> <br /> In addition, he's 'Renegade' Death Guard and not one 100% under Mortarion's control.... so some don't like that fluff aspect.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Well, the opponent can simply do the same thing.<br /> If you charge that means he reacts... which means the fist will be moved after the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(67);'>IC</span> moves in reaction.<br /> <br /> And, the fist needs only be within 2" of a person in b2b w/ the character to hit him, with no one else in b2b...not hard to do with a light bulb formation.<br /> <br /> The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(67);'>IC</span> and his squad can only 'snipe' the fist if they wound everyone at least once.<br /> ___________<br /> In addition, there are other things besides fist that can easily instant gib him at range... all it takes is hitting what ever squad he's in with enough <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 8+ <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> 2/1 stuff and wounding every model so something has to be assigned to him.]]></description>

I can normal get into <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(686);'>B2B</span> with the fist or get close enough to him to keep him +2" from my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(67);'>IC</span>. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(274);'>YMMV</span> (scratch may, Does) but i only have trouble with multiple fists .... and only then if I can't thin the unit out in advance.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Well, /shrug, lets apply Typhus at least.<br /> Now there is an oppurtunity cost.<br /> Depending on how close you are, you may or may not end up using wind.<br /> <br /> The opponent might remove close models...so the only viable way is for Typhus to go in first that kind of stuff.<br /> If he's buried in the squad: there is the chance he doesn't get to attack, there is chance for him to use wind...which amounts to wasted potential.<br /> <br /> But should he shoot and the enemy unit falls back...that's good, but also bad as there is no more chance to hide in combat.<br /> <br /> So what do we have:<br /> Tyhpus is best applied against in combat is with something with multiple wounds, high toughness.  Which means Monstrous Creatures.<br /> <br /> He has the speed to hit first and hopefully kill it.<br /> <br /> Issues: If it dies, well you are in the open again.<br /> If its faster, there's a chance he dies.<br /> If it lives, and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> High, there's a chance he goes splat.<br /> Now all these ifs count on him not whiffing... but what about the daemon weapon.<br /> 1/6 times he rolls for attacks he attacks with 0 attacks...which means free reighn by the enemy.<br /> <br /> In which case we look to get him a posse to take the licks...I suggest plagues.<br /> <br /> So... Typhus, lets say 7 plagues, in a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span>... that's an expensive basket.<br /> Could it be housewrecker...yes.<br /> <br /> Worth a try: Of course.<br /> But I don't particularly like 5++ characters that cost 200+ points, that have no better <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(162);'>inv</span> save, no true toughnes 5, nor have eternal warrior.]]></description>
