Stripping Paint

I'm sure there is a topic somewhere in the forum but I don't feel like searching because I'm lazy

I really need to strip paint on my models - if you've ever seen the 17th comic strip (Paint it on Thick) in "Turning Signals on a Land Raider" imagine smirk as the majority of my Tyranid army.... maybe not that many layers though

Anyway back on track, all of these techniques strip paint as well as crack the glue holding the models together?
Is there a certain viscocity (er however you spell it) that I might need to get and what is this green stuff I keep hearing about...

super clean. It is a car cleaner in a purple plastic bottle.

It works awesome on removing paint from both plastic and metal. it wont hurt either, although superglue does have a tendency to dissolve slightly. Also make sure that you use the stuff that you need rubber gloves for, and of course wear the rubber cloves.

There is a tutorial on how to use it, but it pretty much amounts to soaking your mini's in it for a day or so and then rubbing them down under water with a toothbrush.

As a plus it is also a biodegradable substance, if you care about the environment.

For metal models I use Cellulose Thinners.
The paint will pretty much come off in a single skin, requiring little to no toothbrush work.
Plus it kills superglue completely.

I had an old Ork Dred I wanted to strip, after putting it in thinners the paint just fell off.
The superglued interlocking parts that wouldn't shift with a little force, didn't even have any glue residue left when the soak was finished.

Just DON'T use it on plastics unless you want a ball of goop.

Oh and if you have a seperate container for the dirty thinners you can keep re-using the same batch over and over, saving money.
I'd reccomend using an old coffee jar, as the thinners wont react with the glass, or the type of plastic they use for the lid.
