http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/93.page JForum - http://www.jforum.net im playing my second game of whfb tomorrow, and my foe is an empire player. we are playing 1500 pts, and since ive never played against empire with WoC, im wondering about how to play them, what to look for and some tatics to use. first, i have no clue what army the empire is fielding, only that it has some calvary. my initial list is centerd around 2 15 man blocks of warriors, 2 groups of 20 maruders, a giant and a knight unit....however im comsidering dropping the giant for more knights. the other question i have, should i expect magic, and therefore load up on sorc? or will my khorne champ on jugger be a better choice? whats the empire magic phaze look like at 1500? any suggestions or tips would be apreciated. thx.

For the love of god yes please drop the giant for more knights!! Knights are good .

Honestly, Empire can do a lot of things so if you aren't sure what he will be playing it's best to make a well rounded list. (Actually meta-gaming is bad anyway so always make a well rounded list.)

Empire cavalry is very good (it is especially cost effective) but your cavalry will be able to cut through them like butter so don't be too afraid of them.

One of Empire's strengths are their war machines so you should expect to see at least one, but more likely two cannons. You have to be very conscious of this fact, that means during your movement phase be very careful so that you aren't giving him flank shots on your expensive knight units.

If he brings a gun line, use your marauders to screen your warriors and try to use whatever limited terrain there is to your advantage.
