Skrag = 400.

Butcher = 180.
2 Dispel Scrolls.

Hellheart or 2 Dispel Scrolls.

Bangstick, Dispel Scroll or 2 Dispel Scrolls.

Core:

3 Bulls = 105.

3 Ironguts = 144.
3 Ironguts = 144.
3 Ironguts = 144.

Special:

2 Leadbelchers = 110.
2 Leadbelchers = 110.

2 Gorgers = 150.
2 Gorgers = 150.

Total 1997/2000.

For the 3000 point list add the following to the above...

Tyrant = 296.
Tenderizer, Heavy Armour, Wyrdstone Necklace, Fistful of Laurels, Luck Gnoblar.

3 Ironguts = 144.
3 Ironguts = 144.

3 Maneaters = 270.
Heavy Armour, Cathayan Longswords.

Grand total 2995/3000.

For 2k, I'd personally drop the hellheart and stick with just bangstick (no scroll) on Butcher #3, and use the points to get bellowers for every unit that can take them. With the 18 points left I'd probably give ironfists or ahw to the bulls, unless you want to give fistful or talisman of protection to a butcher.

Ideally I'd try to push the points to get either a siegebreaker butcher in there, or drop 1 butcher for a simple bruiser w/ great weapon. I myself wonder at 10 dice of gut magic, to just buff a handful of MSU ironguts + butcher units or throw increasing amounts of dice into bonecrunchers ...

Not unlike this:

Skrag = 400

Bruiser - great weapon, heavy armor = 147

3 Ironguts - bellower = 154

Get your units bellowers, especially bait units.

The 3000 point unit needs more bait units, specifically bulls.

Your 2000 point list, besides the fact that it is illegal, has the correct 1:1 ratio of bait to hammer units required to play cookie-cutter MSU ogres. In your 3000 point list you add 3 hammers and no bait units.

Some ogre players are starting to turn away from the cookie cutter MSU and more towards a character deathstar (think a tyrant and 2 bruisers in a unit of maneaters) which some good people at www.ogrestronghold.com have been developing which you might want to check out. But overall, getting bellowers and replacing skrag with a tyrant in your 2000 point list will make a perfectly fine MSU ogre list.

Oh god you're right I mixed up the two rules. /facepalm and I've been playing ogres for a few years now.....
