Then coat it with a Matt finish to knock the shine off and give your figs a more real look.

Over time the matt coat may rub off some well handeled minis, just shoot another coat f matt and your good. ( this very rarely has happend will me but has once or twice.)

Several thin coats rather than heavy one coats.

Yeah, I love that little undefinable "something extra" it gives to the look of the model.

Should know that it does take the shiny away from "metallic" paints a bit.
