Forgeworld superheavies versus GW plastic kits

Does anybody own either of the superheavy tanks sold under the Forgeworld and GW brands?

I'm intrigued, as both appear to made to the same scale (28mm) but there is a huge price difference between the two ranges.

i.e. you can pick up a plastic GW Baneblade for £58.70 but a Forgeworld Baneblade will set you back £150.

Never having seen either in the flesh complete it's hard to tell what the differences are, although I presume, given the Forgeworld branding, it's a far more detailed/solidly-built model.

Any opinions?

Thanks for the input guys - as I was primarily thinking of getting one of these as a model (not for gaming) I think I'll probably buy a Forgeworld one.

I have seen both the GW and FW kits and have to say give FW shipping times and quailty issues with the fact that FW "more detailed" doesn't hold up as much as it used to. GW has made a LOT of progress in making detailed plastics and it shows in the Bane Blade in the fact that the resin one is only slightly better. I will admit its there but I had to really look to fined them. GW did do a great job on their plastic Bane Blade
