Few questions from a newer player...

1. Ive been runing my PMS in ten mans, generally 2-4 squads in 1500 to 1850 lists, I see people running more squads in grps of 7 and even 5, which is better really? and how does play change when you have more squads that are smaller?

2. Ive been running my PMS pretty much un-mechd, just trudging accross the field and shooting/ assaulting from cover

3. ive been playing my nurgle list waiting for the enemy to come to me, is this the general accepted method or should i be more aggressive,

4. i do well enough but against more experienced players i feel like they are very aggrssive and i do less well.. and drop pod armies screw with my head a bit lol any tips are welcome

general NURGLE questions

Well the rule of thumb is a seven man squad of plagues survive just as well as ten man squads of CSMs and also since nurgles number is seven. I would also say being more aggressive with them would work better in terms of going for objectives and holding them. In order to do so they need to be in rhinos and what i have seen done is to tank shock your opponent off objectives then disembark.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Welcome to dak dak BTW¡

Automatically Appended Next Post:
One last thing running them in squads of ten is a very viable option to run these guys so dont worry about that.

general NURGLE questions

Well you either do that or sit in the tank on top of the objective and wait until someone blows it up. I prefer getting out claim objective with the squad and sending rhinos on suicide missions of tank shocking or ramming. It makes the game fun for you and your opponent to use different tactics like this. Last you could get out and use your rhinos as cover for your guys on your vulnerable side also.

Automatically Appended Next Post:

Got a question for you how do you usually kit out your plagues?

lletherboy wrote:Few questions from a newer player...

1. You wanna keep squads smaller because, if they get assaulted, do you really wanna stay locked in? Also its cheaper, so you get points to throw elseware. and when you don't NEED more than 5 to get 2 special weapons its generally a better idea.

2. All marines are best in rhinos. Being able to get up into your opponents face is always good, especially squishier armies like IG. Also, your super susceptible to things like Battlecannons otherwise

3. I'm aggressive with all my armies typically, putting your foe on his heels is always a good way. keeping pressure on makes people make mistakes. Also, many armies can beat you in the range game lol

4. Drop pod armies (other than Space Wolves) shouldn't be much of a problem. Just wait for em to drop and shoot up the squad like you normally would. Drop pods really aren't an issue. And if its space wolves... you NEED to mech up at that point lol. Having your PM's get assaulted by a full grey hunter squad w/ wolfkin and 2 power weapons is never a good thing!

Hope that helps out
