€ Initial thoughts on Tyranids

I have been studying the codex. I'm very excited about finally playing Tyranids. One thing I think would made the codex as a whole better is if some of the multi wounds units had T5 versus T4. There are quite a few multi wound units that are T4. Nidz lost the equivalent of Eternal Warrior so these T4 multi wound units are meltagun bait. Some good examples are Hive Guard and Venomthropes. They aren't cheap points wise either. Now if some of these units were T5 at least they could take a meltagun shot to face and not keel over dead. I'm not complaining, it's just the way it is and I accept that but on the flip side there are a lot of cool units that will probably never see the gaming tables because of this Achilles Heel so to speak. It's ashamed too because to me these units are eye candy. Anyways I am thinking that the Alpha Warrior and Broodlord are that much more attractive as they are T5. To a certain degree Warriors and genestealers will be delivery systems to get them into assault. I think you'll really need the heavy hitters plus you will need to hit very hard and fast.

G
