My motivational blog to get me started on cutting everything off the sprues and more importantly painting them. First, the pics.

I started this army because I just loved the way Beastmen played in fantasy, but was already "into" 40k too much money wise to change my mind and go to fantasy, so I started this.

The backstory is basically a bunch of Beastmen ( http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Beastmen who we're originally a ab-human regiment in the Imperial Guard. However, they saw the folly of the Imperium, that they we're too brash and genocidal towards other races who did not agree with them. Therefore, they broke off during a time when an Imperial Fleet was under attack my Dark Eldar Raiders, they killed all of the human crew, and piloted it away during the attack, getting away relatively unscathed. They prefer Guerilla Warfare, acting in several parties of 20 throughout, acting as raiders, and blitzing on a central point when in position, letting loose with Auto-cannons. These Beastmen, who name themselves "The Emperors Retributors" prefer plasma technology on their Heavy Armour so have raided as many Executioner pattern Leman Russes from Imperial Forge Worlds.

Generally, they prefer attacking the Imperium's military force directly, not on their economy, seeing these as not part of the problem since they are not part of the Imperium's Military. They also attack Chaos vigorously, seeing these as even worse than the Imperium. They see the Imperium as just corrupted as Chaos is.
