I was going for an army with the bulk of points spent on big and warrior sized creatures, the smaller nids would only serve as cannon fodder.
The Tervigon with its spawning ability would primarily serve by holding and keeping objectives, its Catalyst would help by keeping its nid shield alive a little longer. The hormagaunts would be a shield for the raveners. The carnifex and zoanthropes would be tank hunters while the Hive guard could alternate between tank hunting and troop hunting. The gargoyles would be an annoying/decoy unit.

However, if I drop the Zoanthropes, I could either bulk out the hormagaunts, termagants and include an extra Hive guard (so i'd have 2 units of 2 each)
