1850 tyranid melee oriented army

HQ
Hive Tyrant- 170+60=230
Bios: scything, lashwhip/bonesword, old adversary, regeneration, toxic miasma
Psychic powers: leech essence, paroxysm
Retinue: tyrant guard x2 – 60x2 = 120
=350

Troops

Warrior brood x6 - ((30+5) x6) +5 = 215
Bios: scything/deathspitter, x1 barbed strangler
=215

Genestealer brood x19 - (14x19) = 266+46 = 312
Bios: broodlord
=312

Termagants x28 – (5x28) = 140

Hormagaunt x16 – ((6+2) x16) = 128
Bios: toxin sacs

Heavy

Carnifex brood x2 – ((160+25+20+25) x2) = 460
Bios: scything/crushing, regen, bioplasma

Elites

Zoanthrope x3 – (60x3)=180
=180

Lictor x1 - =65
=65

So my plan is to have a nice melee oriented monstrous creature party. I want to keep my carnies near my tyrant so (due to not having scything x2) they will benefit from preferred enemy and get to reroll misses anyway.
I know that dakka tactics recommend against taking crushing claws and regen for carnifexs, but I was thinking because they're a unit they would technically have 8 wounds and therefore have a much lower chance of dying right away, thus they can go last to get extra attacks, and then both having regen they might be able to get some wounds back.

The genestealers will outflank and hopefully come in to the side or behind the enemy to do their thing.

The termagants and hormagaunts will be the cannon fodder/pestering units. Hopefully tying the enemy up long enough to allow the carnies and tyrant to catch up.

The zoanthropes are the tank busters.

The warriors can be more flexible, perhaps taking on harder to melee units having a little firepower themselves as well as providng synapse to the termies and hormies.

And the lictor is there to place where needed on the board and to help the genestealers get in the game faster.

If a large melee oriented enemy comes on the field, the hope is that I will have the tyrant and carnies go in together, hopefully to lower the enemies initiative to 1 with the lashwhip so atleast the carnies can still get their attacks

What do you guys think? anything I can change/do better? Any tactics I haven't considered?

Some quick thoughts:

For the points you're spending on a HT, consider a Swarmlord. He's awesome, and only 50 points more than the HT set up the way you do.

I'm of the opinion that Regeneration sucks on 4 wound models (actually, I don't like it at all, but ESPECIALLY on 4 wound models). I'd drop it on everything.

You're probably better with 2 units of 10/9 genestealers than one unit of 19, especially if outflanking. 10 is usually enough to wreck anything you'd run into, and having 2 units gives you more scoring and allows you to hit multiple targets.

A neat, but expensive idea is to put your Zoanthropes in a Mycetic Spore so they can Deep Strike. The range on the Warp Lance isn't great, so you might need to get closer to the action.
