I'd like to get a unit of rough riders together but don't like horses. Ideally I'd like something WWII looking as it will fit better with the themes I have in my head at the moment. I know Tamiya do some 1/35 scale German motorcycles but I'm not sure whether the scale is right or not.

Very nice looking bikes IMO and have a WW2 feel about them.
Don't know about airbrushing I'm afraid. My only problem is that the Gerry cans I got were a bit bigger than those that come with a Leman Russ, but overall they looked more real.


My suggestion is buy one, see how it works. They fit on there fine, but they look a bit like ten year-olds on their first bike...

I got some 1/72 and they're ridiculous. I think 1/48 would be best fit, but they are rare and therefore pretty costly.

or photo copy onto airbrush masmking(sticky back plastic)
for really small stuff your probably betterwith decals though.

Thanks Tek, if you could take a picture I'd appreciate it. It's a shame all the scales seem to have slight enough differences to make everything a bit hit or miss.

I've just trawled a bit on the web and got a decent font that I've copied off to try making my own. I'm a bit naff with a knife but I have a new set of xacto blades so hopefully the sharpness will help, and I guess I can always touch up afterwards. I was hoping to stay away from decals simply to be as original as possible but I might chop a few up to suit.
