				<title>My first army: Dwarfs ....where do I go from here?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I found some of my dwarfs (mostly from BFSP) and some dwarf slayers my friend gave me.  <img src="/s/i/a/3280d57d913d8178fb42a55db16d1e89.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br /> heres what I have so far (without upgrades or anything)<br /> <br /> Heroes:<br /> Thane 65 pts<br /> Runesmith 70 pts<br />  <br /> Core:<br /> 14x dwarf warriors 112 pts<br /> 10 Thunderers 140 pts<br /> <br /> Special:<br /> 1 cannon 90 pts<br /> 8 Miners 88 pts<br /> 60 dwarf slayers 660 pts<br /> <br /> Rare:<br /> Organ gun 120 pts<br /> <br /> A couple of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(97);'>misc</span>. dwarf models I have are:<br /> Goblin Hewer w/ malakai makinson and crew<br /> 1 Dwarf Lord w/ hand gun<br /> 1 Dwarf Lord <br /> 2 LongBeard command models<br /> 1 Daemon slayer<br /> 1 Games Day special edition daemon slayer<br /> 1 Garagrim Ironfist<br /> <br /> Now... the question is : Where do I go from here  <img src="/s/i/a/8f7b3f87df347f2cf6c1e7d5e119a067.gif" border="0"> <br /> whats the best way to expand my army to make a more balanced army <img src="/s/i/a/8f7b3f87df347f2cf6c1e7d5e119a067.gif" border="0"><br /> <br /> And also would I be able to use Malakai makinson as a stand in for a master engineer?<br /> <br /> aaaaaand thats it. so thank you for reading and hoping to hear from you guys soon. <img src="/s/i/a/5d13fa41280d6fdef786d41bc175d3f6.gif" border="0"> ]]></description>

				<title>My first army: Dwarfs ....where do I go from here?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I take it your friend was working on a Storm of Chaos Slayer army at some point?<br /> <br /> Malakai makes a great stand-in master engineer as far as I'm concerned.  I can't really imagine someone having an issue with it.<br /> <br /> If you are shooting for a more balanced army, I'd get some more warriors.  If you want to be more shooty, get some more thunderers or quarrellers.  Right now you have your minimum core.  The thunderers are fine, but the warriors either need to be 20+ with standard musician and usually a veteran, or they need to be a unit of 10 with shields and nothing else (for redirecting).<br /> <br /> The cannon should absolutely get the rune of forging, with the rune of fire if you face regenerating targets (and not if you face plenty of star dragons).<br /> <br /> The only way to get that many slayers in the army is to have a slayer character.  I think the most *efficient* slayer character is the un-upgraded dragonslayer.  I'm sure one of your demon slayers would be a fine stand-in.<br /> <br /> Longbeards are good core because of the runic banners they can bring, and hammerers are top-notch special choices because of stubborn, with the potential to be immune to fear/terror with the Rune of Courage or a Dwarf Lord.<br /> <br /> If you do get more combat blocks, a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(174);'>BSB</span> becomes more and more critical.  Right now, not such a big deal, since most of the army is made up of unbreakable or shooting stuff.<br /> <br /> In the meantime, there's no better way to get a feel for things, especially specific to your local meta-game/playing style than to actually get out there and play.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(314);'>RZ</span>]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ With those models I would try to build a playable list and see what you think.<br /> <br /> Try this;<br /> <br /> 14x warriors w/ shields and command = 151 (put your thane here)<br /> Thane = <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(174);'>BSB</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(408);'>MR</span> of gromril, rune of resistance (1+ rerollable <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(400);'>AS</span>) then you can either go for more defence with runes of preservation and furnace or increase his offense with either <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(408);'>MR</span> of swiftness (<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(474);'>ASF</span>), Rune of might (double strength if toughness is over 5), or rune of fury (+1 attacks). = 165<br /> <br /> 14x longbeards w/ shields and command = 205 (233 if you want <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> too) (runesmith goes here) (use your 8 miners, 2 longbeards, and other <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(97);'>misc</span>. models)<br /> Runesmith = shield and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(408);'>MR</span> of binding or balance, and a rune of spellbreaking = 151<br /> <br /> 10x thunderers w/ shields = 150<br /> <br /> 15x slayers w/ a troll slayer = 180<br /> <br /> 15x slayers w/ troll slayer = 180<br /> <br /> cannon w/ rune of forging = 125<br /> <br /> organ gun = 120<br /> <br /> Dragon Slayer = 50 or Master Engineer = 70<br /> <br /> total = 1477 or 1497<br /> <br /> I think you could manage a game with this list, might not win, but maybe competitive.
