I am making a Dp for my Iron Warriors army and am wondering which way is best to go with Marks.

I am giving him a jump pack (wings) and i was goign to go withWarptime for the Psyker power.

I am stuck between giving him MoT (for the invul save) or MoN (for the extra T).
Do you play against armies with lots of high str/ap attacks ? Or do you face lots of horde/massed small fire armies? Answer that question and you answer your own question. Personally I go with nurgle, but that is also because I run a nurgle-heavy army. You might also consider what you are going to use your DP against. If he will be running into lots of other HQs/elites/etc that will be carrying power fists/power weapons/etc that will blow by his toughness and regular save you should consider the MoT.

And another point to be made, is daemon princes cannot take a jump pack. While a jump pack would be a perfect substitute for wings, for logistics it is wings. Not that you dont already know that.

As sanctjud says, wings is the answer.

I personally run both a tzeentch DP and a Nurgle DP both with warptime. They both have their jobs, Nurgle DP smashes any and all infantry units, and tanks if need be. And the Tzeentch DP goes tank hunting and priority target hunting. This includes HQ's and things such as TH/SS terminators, things of high threat.

MoT gives a DP better survivability vs low ap and high strength. Which is invaluable on the front lines.

MoN gives better survivability in CC vs infantry and various non-major threat units. I usually try to destroy as many scoring units as possible here.

So thats how i generally see things, from my experiences.

I'd definately take MoN. Without it he's still basically an infantry target, and subject to getting killed by bolter fire at a distance. If the enemy really wants to make him dead, a 4+ invul doesn't help enough. The vast majority of things that are going to get thrown at him (with the exception of the DE) will be high S average AP. Being T6 is statistically as potent as having that +1 to your invul against Plasma weapons, and even more so against Tau Plasma, for cheaper. It also seriously hurts Autocannons, along with Heavy Bolters, Multi-lasers, etc..

So i've made a jump pack from a cut down valkyrie engine. It's pretty big.

Thanks for the input guys, think i'll be goign for MoN. Just to confirm (i am at work and dont have my codex with me), a DP can only take 1 psyker power, right (unless it has MoT).
