				<title>Predator Angrinator</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I've been working on an Angry Marines fandex. The general idea behind is to replace Combat Tactics with Rage and Furious Charge  decrease <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> and increase Strength. Anyways, before I continue on it, I'd like some opinions on my rehash of the classic Predator Angrinator (which is actually a whirlwind variant, not a predator). <br /> Predator Angrinator-85 Points<br /> The Predator Angrinator may be taken as a dedicated transport for a maximum of 10 models. No other models may embark this vehicle during the course of the battle until the Angrinator Missile Launcher has been used. <br /> <br /> Angrinator Missile Launcher:<br /> Range: 12"-48" S:4 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span>:- Notes: Ordnance 1, Large Blast, Barrage<br /> When shooting the AML, the embarked squad must be launched, (using the deep strike rules) onto the board, within the range of the AML. After scattering, place the Large Blast template over the squad, with the hole over the first model. Do not scatter. All models under the template take the S4 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span>- hits. The assault phase after the AML is shot, the squad counts as having initiated an assault against the nearest squad to where it had landed. If there are no enemies within assault distance, the squad behaves as normal. The AML may only be shot once, and cannot be used by another squad.<br /> <br /> If I could get feedback on balance, and points cost it'd be much appreciated. I'd also like to make the description easier to understand.<br /> <br /> Edit: Oh right, and the deepstriking squad can deepstrike within 1" of enemy models.<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Love the idea, but as Comrade Kid-Kyoto said, take out the 1" deal. Just too complicated. But perhaps, I might suggest, they be able to land within a group of enemies, that the enemy unit first be hit by the shot at S6 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span>- (since the Angry Marines are landing on them) first. This would show the Angry Marines landing on someone, and making room for them to land. <br /> <br /> But I LOVE the wonkyness of this weapon! Hurrah for ye olde <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span> style! A for effort! B- for execution! Gold Star in general!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Thank you.<br /> I called it the Predator Angrinator because that was the original name, back in the original fandex, and in the "fluff" (although I don't know if you can call it that, after all, they're Angry Marines). Without the 1" thing, it doesn't really give off the feel off them landing on their enemies. I'll try my hand at revising, but this is never gonna be easy to word:<br /> Angrinator Missile Launcher: <br /> Range: 12"-48" S:4 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span>:- Notes: Ordnance 1, Large Blast, Barrage <br /> When this weapon is shot, if a scatter is rolled on the scatter dice, scatter the full <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(1);'>2D6</span>", the Angrinator's <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> has no effect. After scattering, but before resolving damage for the Angrinator Missile Launcher, fit as many of the embarked squad under the template (even if they are within 1" of the enemy unit), as if they had deep stroke (deep striked?) that turn. If you cannot fit all the squad members under the template, they must be as close to it as possible, while still remaining in coherency. If that isn't possible either, the squad member is destroyed. After placing the embarked squad, resolve damage, on all models under the template, as well as squad members that could not fit under it. In the ensuing assault phase the launched squad counts as if it had charged into assault with the enemy squad. This weapon can only be fired once.<br /> I'm thinking I should raise the price to something like 115 or so, instead of completely scrapping the mechanic of them landing directly on the enemy.<br /> <br /> Edited to scatter full <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(1);'>2D6</span>".]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ It might be a bit early for this, but if people had the time, and felt like it, could somebody please playetest the unit at a few different points costs/levels? Please don't bother if you're going to be going out of your way, I hate being a nuisance.<br /> I'd playtest it myself, but I don't have enough points to test it in a variety of situations (since I spend all my time painting my friend's stuff...) Add to that it's barrage which means it can hide out of sight and not be shot at equals completely unfluffy, and extremely over powered.]]></description>

It'll do you good.<br /> As for the 54" assault range, it's not that, it's deepstriking. Terminators have it. Drop pods have it. The Angry Marines just have it, except they assault (kind of like...hmm Vanguard?) Your comment, in an odd...sort of way did give me an idea though. The shot should scatter a full <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(1);'>2D6</span>" if it rolls a scatter. It's more representative of them being shot at enemies, and not being designed to be aero-dynamic.]]></description>

Sending a single squad of 10 marines (max) into assault with little support is a suicidal manouver. You'd have to wait until after the first turn at LEAST anyways.]]></description>

I mean, I already suggested adding points and making it less accurate. If you still think it's unbalanced, the range could also be reduced. If the Angry marine come within 1" of the enemy unit from the scatter, they count as charging into assault.  Place the remaining members of the squad in base to base with models of the enemy unit.  If they do not scatter into the enemy, treat it as a normal deepstrike. 				<description><![CDATA[ The only problem I see with that, is the confusion that it could cause.  I'm a firm believer of the KISS theory, or Keep It Simple Stupid.  If you run it with a blast you might have people arguing that the marines should be deepstriking before the shot goes off, and then the marines can land on top of one another.  Not to mention opening the door to the arguement of, if the shot (the marines themselves) scattered off my unit, then why aren't they where the template landed?<br /> <br /> Since this is supposed to be for fun games, I try to make the rules solid.  The reason is simple, it's supposed to be a fun game, not a long rules arguement about what happens first then next and so on.  Hence I came up with the idea of using it as a Heavy X and placing the squad within 6 inches to show where they may have landed then bounced into the enemy, or hit an enemy angrily pounded his head into the ground as he bounces away, or whatever fun and fluffy things you can think of.  In the end it's your choice since you're the one doing this, I was trying to offer another take on it.]]></description>
