Tank Shock: Is It lethal?

Hey All,

This has confounded me in the 5th edition and I haven't found an Answer yet. Is Tank Shock Lethal?

I mean, in the rule book, it doesn't say anything about anyone in the squad getting killed by a shocking tank other than a "Death or Glory" attack. It only says that models are moved out of the way if they are i the way when the tank reaches it's final position.

But doesn't it seem like an Eldar Grav tank would easily slam into a squad of infantry without giving them a chance to even turn around?

Opinions?

The benefit of tank shock is that it causes a Morale Check.

Do not try and confuse fluff and rules, it just leads to a massive headache.

However, against non-fearless armies those morale checks can be extremely effective, and the ability to tank shock infantry off an objective is invaluable for winning the game.

Just 'cause it doesn't kill anyone doesn't mean it's not awesome.

They have to remain in coherecny, and have to move the absoloute minimum distance, so they end up all nicely bunched up on 1 side of the tank. Combine it with a Template Weapon or better yet passengers firing multiple Template Weapons (Burnas, I'm Looking at you!) and it eats them alive

Tank Shock: Is It lethal?

It is also useful to push a unit contesting an objective out of range of the objective.
I tank shocked a Necron Lord away from an objective in one game and since I did it with a Rhino with a combat squad embarked, it went from him contesting an objective to me controlling it.
Use your forces to win the mission. It's not always necessary to kill every unit to win the game.
