If there's a situation where there are a lot of orders (more than can get shipped out in one day), the orders that get processed first are going to go out "early" and probably arrive "early" with no deliberate benevolence involved.

In the past, I think people have reported getting things like the spearhead boxes up to week early, so a codex a few days early isn't too surprising.
