				<description><![CDATA[ I have perused several Blood Angel lists on this forum and there seems to be a complete lack of Death Company. Why is this?<br /> My own list runs 15 Death Company in a Landraider Crusader, all armed with Boltguns and Sergeant with powerfist is this wrong/bad <img src="/s/i/a/8f7b3f87df347f2cf6c1e7d5e119a067.gif" border="0"> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ In my experience with Death Company (playing against them) their rules can be a bit of a liablity against a cunning opponent. For example, since they must move towards the nearest enemy and try to get into <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> it is really easy to either lure them across an open killing ground where you can shoot them to death, or you can lure them through difficult/dangerous terrain, or force them to attack a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> monster that will slaughter them all.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ First, in my opinion boltguns on them is useless because tactical marines get them for cheaper. My advice build the rest or you army first then whatever points are left give the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span> lots of good weapons. And dont let them out the land raider till your next to somthing juicy.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Run your list a couple of times and tweak accordingly.  <br /> <br /> But, boltguns on an assault unit doesn't make a lot of sense.  If you rapid fire, can't assault.  ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ It's not wrong it just seems to be a little bit strange to give them all ranged weapons.<br /> <br /> Death company are designed for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> so to give them medium ranged weapons seems a little redundant as they are going to do a lot more damage if kitted out for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span>.<br /> <br /> The land raider is a good idea though as it gives you more control on where they go during the battle.]]></description>

You have to move towards them, but you don't have to assault. The trick with baiting is to constantly force them to be out of assault range of anything they could actually kill.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Nothing wrong with a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span>, but you have to make them an assault squad or other heavy weaponry squad. Friend of mine has a 7 men <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span>, including the Chaplain and the Dreadnought. The remaining 5 are assault marines. One of them (perhaps the chaplain) had an Infernus pistol. The tiny squad took out a Rhino with 10 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> units and a magician; the infernus pistol blew up the Rhino in one shot.<br /> Ideally, you play a game with some cover for the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span>, so they can get to the enemies unharmed and then flank them.]]></description>

I own Death Company (and I just started the army, so they aren't hold overs from a different time), but they'll always be in last place behind Assault Marines & Sanguinary Guard (with the Sanguinor) when competing for my troop slots. I found a big flaw yesterday when playing a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> army, (it was the usual twin prince with lash variant) unfortunately he immobilised my crusader, so in my turn I disembarked and started to shoot the deamon prince prior to assault, unfortunately Deamon Princes dont stand up well to 30 bolter shots this left me in the open to be lashed and obliterated, I have now decided to drop to 10 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span> and added a chaplain. I also changed from a crusader to a redeemer<br /> <br /> ]]></description>
