They've been around for a while now. The problem is that they have generally been a bit too complex and delicate to put onto anything cool (like an APC or light tank - circle strafing tanks would be cool ). They've made something that looks goofier than the Segway. I mean Segways really rocked the house in goofiness, completely outgoofing the scooter. Experts laughed when Honda set out to build a personal conveyance that outdid the good ol' American Segway. Japan can't compete with the US in transportation technology they said. But they said the same thing when the Segway tried to one-up the European companies and their tried and true scooter technology.

Oh no, they're still around. We've got a Segway dealership here in downtown Columbus Ohio. I think I've seen only one jackass riding one though.
