Remember! I want this to stay a ARTILLERY regiment which means i don't want lehman russ's everywhere. 				<description><![CDATA[ Ah, wonderful artillery. I wasn't on here long ago asking about artillery tactics myself. It's a fun army for sure, but I see a lot of things that can be taken out and a few things that can be added. You say you want artillery, but I see you only have listed 3 Basilisks. That's the first thing I noticed and think you should change. We're talking an Artillery regiment here, they should have more than just 3 Bassies. And you've also got a lot of Plasma guns and a lot of krak grenandes. Sure Plasma guns are nice, but they are pricey and you are giving such exquisite weapons to basic guardsmen. As for the krak grenades, with the amount of heavy weapons and artillery you should have vehicles shouldn't even come close. Outflankers may be a problem but that is why you basically are going to hug a board edge or keep to the middle as best as possible to reduce that risk. Plasma is best taken with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>, Stormies, or Vets and that's pretty much it. Colossus is nice because it will eat <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>MEQs</span> in or out of cover. Sure it scatters sometimes, but they're well worth the points. The Manticore is your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>Str</span> 10 platform, which is fairly flexible in its roll. You'll probably want to make everything closed-top (except Manticore: already closed), but that will be another 60pts. I hesitate to take out a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>HWS</span> or IS for this so I left them open in this list. It's risky, but you have more firepower b/c of it. Or what you could do with the Heavy Support is this:<br /> <br /> 1 Basilisk<br /> -Closed-top<br /> 140ptw<br /> <br /> 1 Basilisk<br /> -Closed-top<br /> 140pts<br /> <br /> 2 Collosus<br /> -both Closed-top<br /> 310pts<br /> <br /> take out a Grenade Launcher somewhere and add another Melta Stormtrooper squad. 				<description><![CDATA[ As far as I can see, both of your lists aren't legal. An infantry platoon counts as a single troops choice, so both the lists are lacking a troops choice in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(187);'>FOC</span>, unless I'm reading it wrong <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(462);'>OFC</span>. When a troops choice has been added the list would have a bigger amount of bodies to protect the artillery. Since heavy weapon squads are really squishy(and expensive with lascannons), you should perhaps have two veteran squads with lascannons instead of the two lascannon squads because they are so expensive.They would last a lot longer with so many bodies protecting them, and you don't really need 6 lascannons with all that heavy artillery in the list already.]]></description>

Not to mention whitewolf, a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span> is 50pts base, a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(373);'>MoO</span> is 30, and adding an autocannon is 10. 				<description><![CDATA[ A) That single Chimera is going to be the target of every anti Tank on board.<br /> <br /> B) Still not legal. Remove the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(336);'>HF</span> from the vets  and the power weapon . Remove the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(51);'>HB</span> team. Add to produce 2 IS w/Flamer and Vox. Remove the grenadiers and there is enough points for meltas on the vets and the Stormtoopers. <img src="/s/i/a/6d3c0a908a3861135dfaebde91c0ecf6.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br /> C) And the HFX2 on the chimera will probably never be used. It only fire both if it hasn't moved at all. 				<description><![CDATA[ Wow, what's with the meltabombs?  Kinda overkill in my opinion.  If you have three <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>HW</span> squads, 2 with Autocannons (good against rhinos and light vehicles) a group of 3 lascannons, then you hardly need the extra anti-armor.  Unless you're assaulting bastions (planetstrike) you really don't need infantry based grenades.  <br /> In my expirence, grenades, other than offensive or defensive, are just a waste of points.  Unless you really are doing some serious assaulting (Shotguns, hooray! I got these from <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(39);'>FW</span>)  drop them.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Very shooty, I like it, very much your style but not necessarily competitive. You're going to shoot. Lots. You'll probably lose games that require much maneuver, but quite a few games you'll just shoot the crap out of your opponent.<br /> <br /> Admittedly, putting meltaguns and shotguns on a foot vet squad is a bit daft. Most armies can outmaneuver that without any trouble, and since they die just as easy as regular infantry, I'd say just switch 'em for a penal squad. If your enemy is close enough for you to get to use your 1 close-ranged defence unit, you're screwed anyway, since they've overrun your army everywhere else.<br /> <br /> And due to my playing style, I'm going to suggest that since you've got a platoon, you should equip your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span> with 4 meltas or 4 flamers, dropping an IS and maybe taking a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(695);'>SWS</span> with 2 flamer, 1 demo. <br /> <br /> If you change the Vets for a Penal Squad, you save 20 pts. drop the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(5);'>AC</span> from the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span> and an IS, and all the  voxes (they don't seem like a good investment, no heavy weapons connected to the network so half your best orders will be wasted on them) you gain another 90.<br /> <br /> Demo & 2 flamer <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(695);'>SWS</span> is 65, 4 meltaguns for the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span> is 40. 5 points to play with, much more potent close range firepower to try and defend your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(59);'>HWS</span>'s and artillery. <br /> Still revelling in the long range alpha strike, but with more bang for your buck at close range. Plus, your Penal Squad can occasionally really irritate a foe.<br /> <br /> One way to do this is placing them very far forward in Dawn of War, to keep your opponent away from your firebase, then scout-moving them back towards your lines. Maybe outflank them to grab an unexpected objective you've blasted the enemy off. They can from time to time surprise people in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(58);'>HtH</span> as well, which is nothing bad in this list.<br /> <br /> Anyway that's my tuppence, see what you think. ]]></description>

Maybe even 4x <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(380);'>GL</span> so it can keep up nicely with the regulars...).  I'd rather have plasma than melta for the footslogging vets.  Your meltabombs, lascannons, and bassies should be able to handle the scariest armour.  ]]></description>
