I think at 1500 you should be alright as long as you prioritize your targets...don't let them piecemeal your units. This is just me but 5 HB's is really just a waste of points these guys are incredible long range fire support that can split their fire more Plas cannons and las cannons IMHO. I would do something like 1 Las cannon and 2 plasma cannons in each squad the points should work out almost exactly.

personally, i would drop Ragnar, and use either two Wolf Priests as their abilities can enhance two squads.

i know that per Ragnar's rules he can technically affect more than one pack, but with the Wolf Priest, you spread bonuses to two separate squads without having the bulk of your army close to Ragnar to get amped.

your GH squads, IMO, should all have melta guns.

the Wolf Guard should have combi-flamers.

you could also drop the Heavy Bolters from the one Long Fang squad for more long range fire support, and drop the Razorbacks so some of your Hunters can have rhinos.

good hunting.]]> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/preList/296156/1602080.page http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/preList/296156/1602080.page GMT Re:1500 pts Long Fangs! - Looking for Feedback i genraly run 2-3 grey hunter squads that have 10 hunters and on armed with a flamer and one armed with a meltagun, in my opinon i wouldnt use the standard or the mark on the grey hunters, if you droped the 3 wolf guard you might even be able to get a 4th grey hunter squad or a dread in, and with the long fangs i think you need more lascannons, instead of some of the rockets, and maybe spread the weapon around the long fangs cause you can split the fire and then you dont have the chance to lose one type of heavy weapon with 1 shot.

I have played a test run of this army, and against a similar army, and both have fared very well. I will take the plasma cannon Idea into mind, but heavy bolters are a cheap and easy way into anti troop- especially nice against the miriad of ork and guard players in my area. Also nice against marines.

I'd always say rockets over HB for range and versatility. You have horde and armor punchability.

I'd say drop out some of the powerfists on your guard so you dont always hit last and can handle some infantry. I don't see them doing much though walking around. Unless you are going to throw them in a razorback but then *shrug*

On Grimnarwing, it works really well if done right.

Also, Powerfists are great for taking anything big- helpfull since otherwise SW take care of anything else.
