				<title>Skaven 1000 points</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I just recently decided to pick of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(147);'>WHFB</span> mostly because my FLSGS will be hosting a slow grow league in response to 8th ed. we will most likely be starting at 1000 points so i am just trying to get a head start.<br /> My club is usually very very competitive so I did my best reading up here on the forums to compose as competitive of a list at this point value while supporting my favorite models in the Skaven codex.<br /> Hero:<br /> <br /> Plagues priest w/ extra hand wep and Plague furnace  252 Points<br /> <br /> Core:<br /> <br /> 20x Clan rats with shields and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(397);'>FC</span> 100 Points<br /> <br /> 20x Storm Vermin with shields <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(397);'>FC</span> and Storm Banner  225 Points<br /> <br /> Special:<br /> <br /> 20 x Plague Monks <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(397);'>FC</span> and Shroud of Dripping Death 185 Points<br /> <br /> Rare:<br /> <br /> Hell Pit Abomination   235]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ First your points are off one a few of the units<br /> <br /> 20 clanrats with shields and full command is 110 points<br /> <br /> The stormvermin with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(397);'>FC</span> and storm banner is 235<br /> <br /> 20 plague monks with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(397);'>FC</span> and shroud is 195<br /> <br /> Looks like for the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(157);'>SV</span> and monks you are not factoring in you have to pay for the standard bearer AND the magic standard.<br /> <br /> This puts your list at 1027<br /> <br /> Where i would cut points<br /> <br /> Drop the stormvermin entirely, they just arent worth the points for the minor upgrade over clanrats.<br /> <br /> That puts you at 792<br /> <br /> Drop the Full command from the monks, the unit is unbreakable, I really dont think the musician is needed, Keep the champ (to eat a challenge) and drop the banner of dripping death, the unit wont be fleeing, so most of the benefit is wasted, put the storm banner on this unit.<br /> <br /> So 20 plague monks, Banner, Champ, storm banner<br /> 210<br /> <br /> This puts you at 807<br /> <br /> Add two units of 21 slaves w/ musicians<br /> <br /> This puts you at 895<br /> <br /> I would drop the clawleader from the clanrats, there just isnt a reason to spend 8 points for him<br /> <br /> Add another unit of clanrats with shields and standard<br /> <br /> This puts you at 990<br /> <br /> My personal opinion is the HPA in lower point games is less effective then a doomwheel and warp lightning cannon<br /> <br /> So drop the HPA, add a doomwheel and WLC<br /> <br /> This puts you at 995<br /> <br /> On the priest i would drop the AHW and add a flail. the +2 strength is <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>imo</span> way better than another attack<br /> <br /> Puts you at 997<br /> <br /> So now your looking at<br /> <br /> Plague priest on furnace with a flail<br /> 254<br /> <br /> 21 Slaves<br /> 42<br /> <br /> 22 Slaves<br /> 44<br /> <br /> 20 rats with shields standard and music X2<br /> 102x2=104<br /> <br /> 20 plague monks with Champion and storm banner<br /> 210<br /> <br /> WLC<br /> 90<br /> <br /> Doomwheel<br /> 150<br /> <br /> 999<br /> <br /> This gives you a lot more units on the board for table quarters and a bit more versatility. The WLC and doomwheel give you a little bit of ranged punch, which was missing before, and in smaller games the HPA is really easy to just ignore and avoid. If you really wanted to you could drop a unit of clanrats, bulk up you other unit to 25 and add a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(771);'>WLT</span> or mortar team. 				<description><![CDATA[ Thank you for your input, like I said i was doing my best but am very new to fantasy.<br /> <br /> I am trying to avoid slaves for the time being I know they are considered a must take but A I hate the models for them and B they are twice as expensive dollar wise as clan rats and plague monks.<br /> <br /> Also I can only take 1 rare at the this point level, I was originally going to try and run 2 doom wheels as I just LOVE the model.<br /> <br /> So if I drop the slaves should I flesh out the clan rats or just add another 20 man unit? the points are about right.]]></description>
