Citadel: Super Glue Thin?

So call me crazy, but I've always like the GW super glue. I find the large hard plastic bottle much easier to work with than the admittedly cheaper little foil things you can get anywhere else. I'd noticed the small bottles for sale at the FLGS, but when my big bottle was running low I started looking for a replacement and the store was out. Couple weeks go by, and my bottle runs dry, and the shop had never restocked. I ask, and am told that he's been unable to order them. Check the GW web store, and sure enough, not on there, so I go ahead and get the little bottle, grumbling because it uses up even more of my store credit.

Went to use the stuff, and it's a brush applicator. I've never seen or heard of super glue with a brush on applicator. Has anyone used this stuff yet? Is it much different from "normal" super glue?

I bought some Citadel super glue and it came in a 1oz bottle but its not a brush applicator. That is definitely weird. Did you order it on GW website for buy it at a game store. I have never seen super glue with a brush applicator and I just got this Citadel super glue a week ago.

Citadel: Super Glue Thin?

Its actually not all that uncommon for thin superglue to have a brush applicator.

On one hand its good for controll and makes you able to put on super thin coat of it (remembering that thin coats of superglue bonds, in most cases, stronger and quicker than thick ones) but on the other hand if you leave the brush out for too long you end up having just a stick (cause the glue bonds the brush together.)

Citadel: Super Glue Thin?

So I've been using it, and had no problem with it. Went to take it to the FLGS to do some terrain work, and didn't bring it inside right away. An hour in a hot car and it went from super thin, to sticky snot, and the next day the entire bottle had completely dried and hardened. I've never had that happen with a bottle of glue before.

Re:Citadel: Super Glue Thin?

GW's superglue is over-priced crap...I used it for years and got sick of throwing it away after it started to thicken. I now use Zap-A-Gap CA+ for general bonding...it has excellent flow and gap filling properties and comes with a removable super thin and long nozzle...great for getting into hard to reach places and controlling where the glue goes.

I also use Zap-A-Gap CA which if you don't watch what you are doing is lethal...it is the consistency of water, moves like lightning and will stick your fingers together before you can blink It is good for tacking things for test fits etc.
