The Thunderwolf cavalry are modeled as truescale half-and-half post and pre heresy gear 13th company using a combination of new space wolf bits, regular marine bits, chaos berzerker bits, beastmen gor and ungor bits, Chapterhouse jump packs + pre heresy heads, greenstuff, and plasticard.

Pics of the models will be posted once I find my cameras' USB cable.

Leman Russ is the "Odin Knight" model, mounted on a larger scenic base than you see in this picture to match the size of canis.

fluff-wise I wanted to hit a few points,

Russ
13th company
Bjorn
Iron Priest as the caretaker for Bjorn
Land Raider Redeemer (I have mine painted with a big "For Russ" painted on the top)

after those points were taken care of I fleshed out the ranks with the 3 primary units in the standard Space Wolves force, Blood Claws, Grey Hunters, and Long Fangs.

The problem with the Iron priest is you can only really field them either on a thunderwolf or in a land raider, they cant take non land raider transports without stealing one from another unit, they cant join another unit, and they cant footslog without getting blown to bits.

If I could I would drop the wolves from the Iron Priest, swap the Iron priest to ride in a rhino, stuff the Blood Claws into the redeemer, and add a couple of bodies to the blood claws unit to fill the redeemer slots. Auot-repairing redeemer...that's just silly... I think the Iron Priest coming out the of Land Raider Redeemer is just majestic and fitting to the fluff so I'll take that one.
