I had gotten an assault on black reach box several months ago and have most of it put together. I was wavering on which chapter to do, so I landed on Imperial Fist. I think I have a yellow recipe I like and can easily replicate so I am thinking now is the time to nail down a list and get 'er done!

So here are a couple of list, again I have mostly AoBR models with some bits to convert with. They are mostly the same, but the main part is the heavy support choices.

Here we go:

HQ
Captain - Bolter w/Digital weapons, Relic Blade - 140pts

Elites:
2xDreadnoughts w/Multi-meltas - 210pts

5xAssault Terminators w/TH/SS - 200pts

Troops:
2x10 Marines w/Multi-meltas/Flamers, Rhino's - 410pts

Fast Attack:
2xLand Speeders w/Multi-meltas - 120pts

Heavy Support:
2xPredators w/Autocannon/Hvy Bolters - 170pts
Land Raider - 250pts

Total: 1500pts on the nose!

The other option would be:

Drop the speeders and pod the dreads, then exchange the 2 dakka predators for vindicators?

Thoughts?? Is the list lacking something?

Which Land Raider varient should I go for? God hammer, Crusader or redeemer?

Should I stick with the predators? Should I go for Vindicators?

I also want to beef it up with the spearhead rules and go for slightly larger point games to fit different formations in.

I'd like to keep the dreads if at all possible, but should they pod? Should they castle with armor in the back field?

Huzzah, hello fellow fists player.

A few things:

A few people might already be able to tell you, I am a vindicator freak, they are the best heavy support unit we have.

I would change the land raider into a redeemer, and add on a multi-melta, same points.

I would (sadly) drop the speeders, add in melta bombs on the tactical squads, and add a drop pod for the dreadnoughts.

Change the dakka predators into vindicators.

(Like you suggested! )

Land Raider w/MM - 260pts
2xVindicators w/dozer blades - 240pts

total: 1500pts on the nose!!

Plus I can use the list in spearhead battles and just up the point value we would play at!

Vindicators are a good support option. Better than Preds cause of the Demolisher cannon.

Give Landspeeders either Assault Cannon or Typhoon launchers. Having them just with MM means they have to get so close to enemy they'll be blown out of the sky.

i assume Captain is going with Terminators? if so consider Artificer Armour.
