So Torchwood is set for a return to our screens, threatening to be more international. Well frankly, it's about bloody time. Children Of Earth was absolutely superb in my opinion, and certainly blew the first two somewhat lacklustre (but not swearing or rumpy pumpy how's your father leg over adult sexy time) series out of the water completely.

Could we be looking at a new X-Files feel, but hopefully without the needlessly convoluted plots and storylines? I certainly hope so.

Fingers crossed for 10 episodes of globe trotting Alien busting shenanigans.

Have they changed the writer for Torchwood now do you know? That might make it slightly better. However, it's worth persevering. Series 2 was a marked improvment on the first. Less pointless swearing and shagging, more plot (though still a bit too much swearing and shagging for my tastes) and Children Of Earth really is a must see for SciFi fans.

As for Dr Who, watch the current series. Much closer to the old feel. The problem is Capt. Jack, he's just too much of a cartoon of a character and he's the only thing left to hang the show on.
