Going to build it up from a plant pot of all things. Will shop about but will be a long term project.

I am thinking of using a combination of Foam Core (Foam Board) and plasticard. This will probably only get monthly updates, least in to begin with.

Generrally this WIP blog will, to begin with, be a tonne of resources and reference material.

I made the body out of long pieces of sprue, and then added plastic card as a shell over the frame. It was harder than I thought to make it look right. just gluing things on randomly actually made it look pretty bad, and I redid a couple of sections.

The close combat arm is a chain saw arm with pistons and such (like the GW kit), while the main gun arm was actually from a small plastic flashlight. The gattling gun was made out of seven pens with the tips cut off glued together.

The biggest pain has been gluing on rivets and bolt heads because on a project this big there are so many. I was able to find some plastic six sided rods of different size diameters. Slicing these with am exacto knife and gluing them on took for ever, but it was worth it.

I found I had to work on other stuff every now and then to stay focused!

I am kind of new to Dakka, and have a couple of photos on my digital camera, but have not figured out how to load them up as yet to a post. perhaps I can get something posted to show you what I did...
