Audio Player of Choice 2010!

I am sure somewhere someone posted this, so disclaimer, this is the 2010 edition! And I want FRESH opinions, not ones made last month, last year or in 2006!

Now that that is settled! I am in the market for a new media player. Here is what i have used, and what I like, and what I want.

iTunes: Like it! I like the pics for the tracks, I like the search feature, I like the star system. I hate that it crashes, updates very 3 fething days, locks down music I purchase and sets a limit to how many times I can download it... I could go on...

Winamp: Like it! But I hate the modern version, I still use the Classic Settings. Again I like that it is easy to search. I don't like that to get all the cool itunes features in winamp I have to sacrifice so much to it. I have 8 gigs so I can run Maya, Photoshop, Painter, and Illustrator all at once, and use Adobe Bridge to move files around. Not so winamp can giggle and steal 6 gigs and only use .25 of what it is hogging. (I am prone to sarcasm and over-exaggeration.. you have been warned.)

VLC: meh. Anything I have to download so many codecs for just to get it to work is like putting together a SoB army... to much work for not enough pay off.. (I KID, I KEED!! Mel that one is for you )

So who uses what? Also what Market place do you use for digital music purchases? Are the choices really so limited?!?!?!?

I used to use winmedia player, then switched to Itunes when I got this mac. Same general functionality and almost total parity of features. The zune player is alright, but has a few issues and I'm not at all a fan of winamp. VLC is a media player, not a content handler, and it doesn't do well as your primary.

The choices are about what they were in 2006.

I will look into foobar 2000, I have used winamp as my radio for a long time too, and I know if you configure VLC right it can work as a handler, but anything I have to work that much with that little pay off is just .

I think I am more biased against iTunes cause it is a mac product than anything... I am gonna check into Foobar though.
