Now that that is settled! I am in the market for a new media player. Here is what i have used, and what I like, and what I want.

iTunes: Like it! I like the pics for the tracks, I like the search feature, I like the star system. I hate that it crashes, updates very 3 fething days, locks down music I purchase and sets a limit to how many times I can download it... I could go on...

Winamp: Like it! But I hate the modern version, I still use the Classic Settings. Again I like that it is easy to search. I don't like that to get all the cool itunes features in winamp I have to sacrifice so much to it. I have 8 gigs so I can run Maya, Photoshop, Painter, and Illustrator all at once, and use Adobe Bridge to move files around. Not so winamp can giggle and steal 6 gigs and only use .25 of what it is hogging. (I am prone to sarcasm and over-exaggeration.. you have been warned.)

VLC: meh. Anything I have to download so many codecs for just to get it to work is like putting together a SoB army... to much work for not enough pay off.. (I KID, I KEED!! Mel that one is for you )

Towards the end of the semester at one point I was rendering in After effects while rendering in maya while working in photoshop while I had eight tabs open in chrome and had music playing in Itunes. I buy most of my music on disc and rip it. I've never bought anything from the iTunes store.
