Oscarius's Daemons...Getting into 40k

So yeah, welcome to my painting and modelling blog.
But first a little introduction. I'm not a good painter and I'm a worse modeller so don't expect a good standard. Aaaaanyway, I've played fantasy for slightly more than year now, collecting roughly 2,5k of Skaven, they are all painted rather badly and I'm not really keen to the idea of going back and repaint 150 clanrats. (The old sort to boot)

Now I'm on my way to dabble with 40k and this time I'm going to try and keep a higher standard.
I will try to base all my daemons somewhat of japanese demons (note that I'm NOT japanese, more of a fanboy. ) I found a basic list of demons here:http://www.monstropedia.org/index.php?title=List_of_Japanese_demons So onto the first one.

I tried to convert some bloodletters into some kind of "Oni" (classic ogre-like demons) so, a bloodletter, an ork head, some green stuff, paint and a measure of cursing this is what I came up with:

You might also want to note that I'm not a good photographer either.
Any (or at least most) comments are welcome.

Your painting and modeling look fine to me.

If you are going for an "ogre like" daemon, why don't you try matching heads to bodies the other way around? Ork bodies with daemon heads might give you more of an "ogre" look. They would not be as tall, but they would be much stockier.

Also, that huge list of demons looks like a great reference for a daemon army, and I really like the idea. The possibilities for fun conversions are endless.

Yeah, I feel the same way with the possibilities.
I thought about the ork bodies...I might give it a try. However, I dislike the clothes of the ork models, I might swap a few hands and arms, and maybe try to make the models bulkier with green stuff.
I also managed to put the torso upside-down if you look closely on the model, don't ask me how.
