My 2 cents...

Yup, good!

Played agaisnt him in a game recently, using my Dark Angels (Green Marines actually, standard C:SM), and he bitzed many a marine... The Apothacaries had a hard time cleaning up that mess...

(I still won... Objective game... The slaughter is hard to watch sometimes though... But taking a handfull of Bezerkers out while cleaving my marines helped to take the sting out of it )

Kharn is incredible. If he's guided into combat properly and doesn't charge silly targets (Carnifexes, Wraithlords, Storshield Termies, etc), then he'll eat almost anything.

He is actually pretty squishy - his invul save isn't great and he lacks Eternal Warrior, so you just have to be careful where and when you use him. That said, throw him and a squad of Berzerkers in a Land Raider and they'll do well.

He's a perfectly defensible HQ choice. I'd probably put him as 2nd best in the Chaos Codex, right behind Demon Princes.

He's reasonably costed, effective at what he does, and will fill a fluffy role nicely.

I DO wish he (and Berzerkers in general) cost an extra point or two and had the Fleet rule, but a LR or even a Rhino works.

He's good... a player in my club has him in his 300, 500, and 1000 pt. army Lists!!!!! He is a pain to kill, unless i have my Wolf lord backed up with a couple cyber-wolves... He can be shot down reasonably easily though

Re:Kharn the betreyer

He's fantastic, but he's one Power Fist away from a pancake.

If you know how to use him, he's absolutely brutal. For the points, he's quite a steal. The whole "Betrayer" special rule will only screw you if you get him into a multiassault with a friendly Walker.

Kharn the betreyer

Kharn rules... and of you're playing as a dedicated Khorne force he totally represents what the Khorne fluff is all about! I have used him a couple of times and agree that selective targeting is a must.

Don't charge and kill anything easy if, Five Terminators with LC's and led by an Interrogator Chaplain are in range to charge you in the next turn! Higher initiative or not, Khanr's getting minced!

Always charge... never allow him to be charged if possible. Losing the furious charge bonus against something that clearly believes itself hard enough to take Kharn on is not good!

Try to assault from a Land Raider... it's a hardcore assault vehicle, nuff said! You pick when you come out and you pick when you charge. Tactically advantageous!

One more thing, play Kharn to do as much damage and kill as many gimps as possible... don't use him to assassinate enemy leaders unless he can chop em up easy... the point i'm trying to make here is, Kharn is the most fun to use as far as Chaos Character units go. Kill as many enemy miniatures as you can and then even if he does get killed you'll have enjoyed playing him. Thats whats important!
