The Fencers Blades say the wielder has WS10, and the Helm says an undead unit may use the wearer's <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span>..........interesting...]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ well it says the bearer gets <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span> 10.<br /> Doesnt say anything about only benefitting from combat.<br /> <br /> So i don't see why the zombies would not benefit from it too.<br /> <br /> Thats pretty scary. as a dark elf player, all my core is <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span> 4, but re-rolling to hit, still reduces my attacks by alot!<br /> and i love corsairs :(<br /> <br /> Special elves are all <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>ws</span> 5+ i dont know about other factions but if special elves are only <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>ws</span> 5/6 i think alot of others are going to be 4/5?<br /> Just by quickly looking through the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>Gw</span> site. the only teams with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span> 5 troops are just Elves, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(385);'>WoC</span> Daemons and Dwarves. <br /> <br /> Elves can't handle attacks back anyway so zombies should just mob them if they hit on 3+ <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0"><br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(385);'>Woc</span>,daemons and dwarves.. could you even kill them anyway?]]></description>

It's only one unit, and the Vampire has to babysit them.<br /> <br /> Fencer's Blade 25 points.<br /> <br /> Helm of Commandment 30 points.<br /> <br /> Only a Vampire Lord can take it and to take full advantage of it you can't have him fighting (already a bad idea, give the helm to a regular vampire Master of the Black Arts caddy).  You're really going to put 55 points of your general's valuable magic items space into <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span> 10 Zombies? Is that really so much different than WS7 Zombies? Your general needs protection and would probably like some casty items.<br /> <br /> Even if you could use it on a regular Vampire, that seems like an awful waste of points to me.  Considering how easy regular Vampires are to kill.]]></description>

HOWEVER, the helm works with ANY unit, so its an extremely useful item. <br /> Also, as to a general's makeup, yes thats 55, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(136);'>usr</span> the rest to give him a ward or something casty, then use vampire points for armour and making him <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(347);'>lvl</span> 4 etc. hes extremely casty as it is. And also, you dont WANT your general getting near combat, thats a bad idea, and can cause a severe case of the crumbles.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Most <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(138);'>VC</span> units do need some assistance in the killing power area, but I really don't feel that your General is the best model to provide it.  Yes, the Vamp Lord has a great profile, but considering how important the Lord is for casting support and crumble prevention, you have to be incredibly careful about when and how you put it into combat.<br /> <br /> Now, the combo referenced above does a couple of things in situations where you need it to.  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span> 10 Grave Guard coupled with Vanhel's hits pretty much everything on a 3 with a re-roll.  If you have a flank of skeletons or ghouls that has been hit, and you really need it to survive, you can take that unit from being hit on 3's to being hit on 5's versus just about any unit out there.  That alone will result in your WS10 unit taking only 1/2 the casualties it would have otherwise.<br /> <br /> I think the combination definitely has some potential.]]></description>
