Only problem is, I have no idea what colour(s) to use to achieve this. I was thinking a bleached bone followed with a Devlan Mud wash to simulate them having been worn for some time and being dirty/dingy, but I thought that might make them look more soiled than just worn.

Does the Dakka community have any suggestions? I think the devil will be in the detail. Try and do the "typical" bedsheet patterns on there. TBH to me you sound pretty close to the mark
Maybe lighten the bleached bone with white too taste for the highlights.
Maybe devlan mud would be a bit dark.

IMHO you don't need uniformity for the sheets as some could be older dirtier more washed etc so a bit of experimentation or even practice before hand?

Yes but they're the first ever models I've painted so while I'm immensely proud of them and am told they're "really good", I'm certain I'd get laughed off Dakka

Honestly, if I had the painting skill to do it, I would make individualized sheets for each of them.
