With exterior, I am concerned about New England weather warping sprues between the cold and heat. I was wondering if the interior storage did not change enough for me to worry, or if I should just get full blown CC and pay the extra $$.

I would only store models that mean something to you, models you have painted and never want to lose.
So make some money from your old stuff and use the money from the sale and the money saved from storage and buy full models or kits that you have always wanted (that's if there is anything n the market that you don't already own

Remember, there is always another unopened box of generic marines in the LGS should you need one THAT badly, keeping some 'on hand' probably is a waste of cm^3.
