Awesome painting and not a stiff position IMHO, i also am under the young bloods category (14 years old) and im purchasing the same model at Games Day this year (for my 4th company ultra smurfs).
And not to hijack but how hard is it to assemble and all that because ive never made a resin model before (and do you need extra equipment - breathing mask?).

I love this model. Your highlighting could use a bit of clean up. Try using the edge of a smaller brush, and just be patient with it. Also, you should get a micron pen, or something similar, and just add some "writing" to the purity seals. Don't go overboard on it, just some black wavy lines to look like something is written on them.

@Saltoric: Resin models from FW need to be washed really well in warm water (not hot, as this might end up warping or bending the pieces) and dish soap. Also, if you do any filing, or sanding on the resin, you need to wear a mask, and make sure to not inhale any of the dust, as it can be really nasty once in your lungs.

Maybe try adding some water to smooth it down. You might have to use a few coats to cover but in the end looks smoother. Do this with other shades of blue for highlights and the effects can work well.

Since it is youngbloods, keep working on the mini. Look at it and ask yourself "is there anything the judges might score me down on"? Then fix that up.

Oh, that Tyranid head is part of the model?
Blah.
I had seen that on some other Dread and thought "Oh, that's a cool idea, what with the fight at Ultramar and all!"

Oh well.

Still looks very good. Good job!

I see what JDM is saying, though. It looks more like he's posing than in the middle of battle. Not that it's horrendous, but I do see where he got that comment. Maybe if you turned him just a little at the waist, as if searching for new xenos to tear apart, or moved one of his arms a little.

Dreadnought looks great though, either way, and maybe the matching colour of the Warrior head doesn't distract from the overall model too much.

The old metal ven dread was awful for trying to pose dramatically. the weight of the arms meant you'd use a tonne of superglue making sure everything stayed together.

This is a really good paint job.
