great craic (fun for those not of the Belfast persuasion). A 40k military RPG like a lot, but with one crucial difference. Xenos can play. So here goes.

In the farthest reaches of the Galactic West, there lies a one planet Solar System amongst the stars. The Rukai system contains only one planet, a small Hive world,known as Vaulkara Prima. The Imperium of Man pay little attention to the 10 million strong population, and nothing of the alien kind bother moving into the system to take it. Because of the size and obscurity Vaulkara Prima has one thing that no-one out of the system has - peace between species. The world has five different races living on it in relative peace and accord.

The Imperium of Man controls the capital city of Hive Kroran and exports some crops and a little munitions to feed the Emperor's armies. The PDF is one of the more popular jobs due to good pay and a reasonably comfortable lifestyle. Crime is low and Eccleisarchal strength is restricted to a few moderate churches in the main city and a reclusive Abbey of Adeptes Sororitas in the wilderness. Governor Caleb Halke lives in peace in the Upper Hive limits.

The Eldar of Lugganath Craftworld maintain a small presence in the mountains, monitoring and limiting the expansion into the wilder areas of the planet. Guardians and Rangers train here to fight for their Craftworld. Azurite crystal is mined here to repair the Webway Gates left here before the Fall. Farseer Ghilead Starwrath prevents the amount of travellers from getting too high through peaceful means. He does not wish a war with the inferior races.

The Orks fight for dominance among themselves in the badlands south of the main city. They openly trade with the humans and enjoy the company of the Underhive bars and clubs. The tribes are small, and would be easily destroyed if they attacked the other races.They are kept under control by an old Snakebite Warboss called Dragut Hornsnappa', who wishes to keep the fighting amongst the Orks due to personal beliefs about the Waagh! being for all species, not just Orks.

The Tau of the eastern plains generally keep to themselves as their numbers are few and the commander Aun'el In'dre Ke'a wishes to study how the species actually co-exist on this world so well. The message of the Greater Good is openly preached in Hive Kroran and goods are traded with both human and eldar. The Tau live in a large settlement known as Yanoi' Ta, nicknamed by the humans 'Old Yan'. Fire Warrior presence is anything but lacking.

The Kroot of the northern forests wander the planet in small hunter cadres of about three or four. They are irritating to the human farmers as the hounds often carry off the herd animals. Trade with humans is limited because of this. They are lead by a young female Shaper known to the outside world as 'Krita', actually called Kraath Ilmak. She holds a strong resentment for the Orks due to family matters involving an old Warboss.

These races live beside eachother for centuries, without even so much as a border dispute or feud between families. Until now, that is. A young Warlord by the name of Vrak Jul has picked up on the peace between the races and wishes to destroy that delicate balance through sabotage and espionage. YOU are not going to let that happen now, are you?
