examples of very dark ork skin?

I am thinking of getting back into 40K after a 10 year hiatus. I always played orks before... my bro was eldar and my buddy was marines and at the time that was about the only other option. Anyway I digress. I am envisioning a band of orks that is more in the "Lord of the rings" flesh tones, black/brown with a touch of olive. But nothing like the standard green green. Does anyone out there have examples(pics) of this already?

Also it's been a while since I have been in the scene, so would I be committing some kind of treasonous act by using this skin tone that would be grounds for hanging by the neck until dead(I know how passionate about standards some people get)?

Thanks

I use snot green I believe and a darker version of Thraka green I whipped up as a wash. The snot green is too light for me, so I cover it with the wash of mine. The darkest version of green I can think of though is Catachan, which is like imperial armor color, if thats what youre thinking of.
To answer the second part, Itd be fine. Ive seen every color ork. Blue, red, green, purple, you name it. Any type of green is acceptable, not to mention other wierd colors. If you can imagine a color, you can paint your guys that way. Its Sci-Fi, remember?

Okay so I guess I wont feel bad about not going straight green with my orks then.

I am not opposed to mixing my own color, in fact I actually prefer doing that. It ensures that only the few figures being painted get that skin color, and breaks up the monotony of having an army with all one skin tone. The only problem is you have to pretty much finish what you start since you cant just crack a stock can of paint.

Remember, Orks are a species(?) of fungus. Fungus doesn't need chlorophyll. So it's not like there's even a good reason for them to be green.
The other Orks might give them a hard time, but a punch in the teeth solves everything.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
As for the paint thing; are you using like normal house paint?
Personally, I'd stick to model paints. Find some Vallejo paints (chaosorc.com has them), they come in little squeezebottles that are convenient to use, and you don't need a whole gallon of it.

You can get some nice skin tones by first painting them up as normal but use browns/flesh then use a green wash over the top it gives a green tinge in the recess and a warm flesh tone on the raised bits .
