brown carapaced nids with ... coloured scythes

I'm painting up some nids with a brown carapace and bleached bone skin washed with gryphonne sepia

I need a colour for the scythes though. Does anyone have any idea what to do them with? I basically want the colour to match with the brown. Its scorched brown so its dark.

On a side note does anyone know how to make the carapace look nicer? At the moment i am only detailing it with bestial brown.
