What is the best way to make hydrolics? right now I am thinking just get two sized styrene rods and cut to size but what is the best way to make sure they look "right" not like two rods glued together, or is it just as simple as that?

Also what do you all use to replicate the corrugated tubing that is often used on flamers and other details on models? I am going to have to make it all from scratch as I haven't been collecting long enough to have spare bits to cannibalize yet. One thought I had was to slip a paperclip/wire inside a spring from a "clickable pen"... but I just don't have very many of those laying around.

As for hydraulics, plasticard rods would work just fine.
