I dunno if this is necessary, I just base my Daemons on the square bases and use them for both game systems. Haven't had any complaints yet.

Wife does the same, but being pedantic, warhammer uses square, abd 40k uses different round bases, it will (slightly) change the number of figures in contact, gaps you can fit them in, etc.

Ok I'd agree its picky, but people can be very picky! :-)

Druidic wrote:Wife does the same, but being pedantic, warhammer uses square, abd 40k uses different round bases, it will (slightly) change the number of figures in contact, gaps you can fit them in, etc.

Ok I'd agree its picky, but people can be very picky! :-)

This is not quite accurate. 40K uses whatever base the models come with. As Daemons come with both, it's not incorrect to use square bases on Daemons, even if they are intended (primarily or entirely) for 40K. Most people collecting entirely for 40K would choose round bases on the basis that that's what most 40K models use, but there's no mistake in using square bases. Unfortunately, there are actually some distinct advantages - most notably in terms of deep-strike packing, where square bases can (numbers depending) result in a more efficient footprint, despite each round base being strictly smaller than a square base.

You COULD make your own.

Eric
