the master rune of flight says "the target is hit once as if the 2 models were in combat thus any additional runes take affect"

does that mean only 1 attack or if I add 2 runes of fury then 3 attacks.

or if it can use the attack profile of the model? so I could have a dwarf lord on shield bearers with this rune and 2 runes of fury giving 6 S4 hits from the lord and the 2 S4 hits from the sheildbearers? sence it says "as if the 2 models were in combat " ?

You hit 1 time, that's it. Think of it like a shooting weapon.

For example if you have a no armor save, flaming attacks, str modifier, etc.

So your lord is basically throwing his hammer, you get to hit the model 1 time as if its in combat. So all combat modifier would apply. If your hitting like in combat, your utilizing your WS. Even if you take +1 attack runes, your still bound by the abilities IE hitting 1 time. Also your weapon runes do not affect your shieldbearers attacks.

If you know you're facing Elves, the rune of cleaving makes for a nice Strength 5 "sniper" style hit- good for dropping champs, mages, and the like.
