PP, specifically the Character Conversion packs for Malice and Triumph (a) because I play Cygnar and Cryx and (b) because they both seem to be based on "classic" jack chassis...

If you havent seen them, Malice and Triumph will apparenly be sold as $10 conversion packs for their respective plastijack kits... the extra bits apparenly consisting of a head, souls and extra blades for Malice, and a Head, Shield, gunsight, and muzzle brake for triumph...

all that being said, I can't see effectivly wasting the rest of the bits in a plastijack kit, just to build these beauties, so I'm thinking of assembling them, bits upward from metal, and tooling them out a bit as I do so.. (giving malice extra spikey shoulder and chain wrapped fists from a seether... )

FLGS's discount rack.. both went together fairly easily, as expected the back of the heads needed to be razor sawed down to change it from the knob, to a flat plate.

Erebus was a fairly simple job, the spikes fit to the old metal shoulderpads nicely, thought the loincloth was a little ill fitting...

Gallant proved to be more work, the curves of the plastic ironclad and the metal ones are just not the same, so the collar has a bit of a gap, as well as the book, but that's a fiddling little thing, obviously one hand needed to be razor sawed off, and replaced with the sword, again, small issue. the one unexpected issue was getting the shield to fit propely, the fix was to remove the end of a bolt on the elbow joint that prevented it from layign flush with the arm.]]> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/preList/315396/3203857.page http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/preList/315396/3203857.page GMT With Malice Aforethought....

This one was the first of the all metal upgrades that gave me trouble, I had worried about the hand on the cannon, but in the end it turned out to be the chains that were my big problem



Over all not too bad, the shield on the sword arm had to be scored down the middle of the backside so it could be bent wider to fit the metal nomad arm and it's size keep you from posing the sword more vertically, unlike all the other character jacks I've done, the head needed no modification, as it was allready a ball and socket joint, the cannon glued on easily. but the chains ended up being to short, and going in the wrong direction to be usable, I ended up snippingg the lengh of chain off, and drilling out the shackles, to put in small brass jump rings, and then stringing chain from earlier dreadnaughts, to replace the chain.]]> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/preList/315396/3978257.page http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/preList/315396/3978257.page GMT Re:Character Upgraded Metal Jacks (Was Malice Aforethought...)
